Workplaces run on paper. We write it right.
Employment contracts, dismissal disputes, service tribunal appeals, and workplace policy — for employers and employees alike.
The Work
Employment disputes are almost always documentation disputes: what the contract said, what the policy required, what the notice recorded. We act on both sides of that line — for employers building contracts, handbooks, and inquiry procedures that hold up when tested, and for employees and civil servants whose livelihoods are on the line in dismissal, severance, and service matters.
For government servants, we handle departmental inquiries, penalties, and appeals before the service tribunals. For private-sector clients, we handle wrongful dismissal and benefits claims, harassment inquiries under the Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act 2010, and negotiated exits that let both sides move on with dignity — and a signed release.

Counsel for the capital's workforce and employers
Islamabad's employment landscape is unique: the country's largest concentration of government servants with service tribunal rights, alongside a fast-growing private sector of NGOs, tech companies, and contractors with modern workplace obligations. We work both sides of that landscape weekly — a show-cause reply for a civil servant one day, an inquiry procedure for a software house the next — and that dual view makes our advice sharper for each.

Common questions
Can my employer terminate me without notice in Pakistan?
Generally no — termination must follow the contract and applicable law, with notice or pay in lieu, and dismissal for misconduct requires a fair inquiry. Remedies for wrongful termination depend on your sector and documents; have them reviewed before you sign anything.
What is a service tribunal appeal?
Civil servants aggrieved by departmental action — penalty, supersession, termination — appeal to the service tribunals after departmental remedies. Strict limitation periods apply, so act quickly after the final order.
Are non-compete clauses enforceable in Pakistan?
Courts scrutinise them closely: restraints during employment and reasonable confidentiality obligations are generally enforceable, while broad post-employment bans on working are often not. Drafting — scope, duration, territory — decides everything.
How should an employer handle a harassment complaint?
Under the 2010 Act you need a compliant inquiry committee, a defined procedure, and documented, time-bound proceedings. Mishandling the process creates liability separate from the complaint itself. We set up and, where needed, sit on inquiry processes.
